Research approach

Evidence, not a promise.

This page describes a high-level evaluation framework. The status of each method and result should be read against the available evidence.

How the research is evaluated

G-CAPITAL research examines how systematic approaches with different characteristics interact within a portfolio, with particular attention to diversification, resilience across market conditions, and periods when several approaches may weaken together. Internal documentation describes historical backtesting, walk-forward/out-of-sample evaluation, sensitivity analysis, and modeled risk scenarios. These checks help examine the limits of the approaches studied; they are not independent validation, a guarantee of future results, or a live trading track record. Historical results and simulations may differ as market conditions, costs, liquidity, and execution assumptions change. Diversification does not eliminate risk.

Coverage described in the report

  • Portfolio-level analysis of how different approaches interact and the diversification hypothesis.
  • Internal documentation describes historical walk-forward and out-of-sample evaluation.
  • Sensitivity analysis and modeled regime scenarios are used to examine robustness.
  • Risk simulations and cost and execution assumptions are treated as models, not certainty about live results.
  • The report also notes that several approaches can weaken together, reducing diversification benefits.
